Fine, If No One Else Is Going To Do It.

I'm gonna say something about Michael Jackson -- not the pederast, Peter-Pan-nose, slowly-turning-into-an-albino shit, but his music.

I dig "Wanna Be Startin' Something" and "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough." "Thriller" is pretty bad ass, as is "Billie Jean." For some reason, I'm into the video for that "Scream" song that he did with Janet.

That's all I got. (I told y'all I wouldn't be very good at this.)

"Don't Stop..." is a good song. Once you hear it you kind of remember how many things it has been used with as far as sports, tv, and movies go.

As gay as this sounds, I think the song he did for Free Willy was pretty good too. It captured the moment the way it should have and as a kid, I like that movie.

I remember the first time I was really exposed to MJ was at a young age by my babysitter's daughter. She had the Thriller album. And when I say album, I mean album. Good ol vinyl.

He obviously left his mark on the music world and unfortunately his personal life left a negative mark on the real world.

Oh well. At least he didn't kill anyone like OJ.

I think the reason I like the "Scream" video is partly nostalgia -- I looked it up today, and it came out in 1995, when I was 15 and MTV still showed music videos. Since "Scream" cost $7 million to make, they showed it a lot. As such, I think I saw it at least once a day for three months.

I remember that video now. I'm totally going to watch it when I get home.

Nostalgia is cool.

So, are you going to totally shun me since I said it was stupid to create a separate blog? I'm onto your game, I've hunted you down, now you have to deal with my NPR loving ass!! That said, can I get an invite to post? Please? I need to put up a killer youtube clip of the Decemberists.
